Shaping Broome Together – Community Driven Precinct Plans

At the Ordinary Council Meeting on 27 March 2025, the Shire of Broome considered the community feedback and formally adopted the Cable Beach Precinct Structure Plan and the Chinatown Old Broome Precinct Structure Plan, marking a significant step in shaping the future of these key areas.

Shire of Broome’s All Abilities Day celebrates inclusive sport

The Shire of Broome’s all-abilities come and try day was a resounding success. It brought together young people of all abilities to experience a variety of sports in an inclusive and supportive environment. Held on Friday, 21 March, at the Philip Matsumoto Sports Courts, the event provided an opportunity for local students to try their hand at different sports.

Town Beach Outdoor Movie Night

Sustainability Workshops

Join us at the Broome Courthouse Markets on Saturday 3 May for a morning of hands-on workshops and demonstrations celebrating International Composting Awareness Week. From Bokashi composting and seedling planting to backyard chicken care and mealworm farming, this free event runs from 8am to 11am and includes giveaways of seeds and seedlings.
